What are the different types of carpet cleansing available?

Hotwater extraction cleaning

Also known as hot-water extraction carpet cleaning, it uses high-pressure hot water to stir the carpet and remove dirt.

As the foam-encapsulation method uses less moisture during the cleaning process, it is quicker to dry than carpet shampooing. Environmentalists have praised foam encapsulation because less chemical residue is left behind.

This method is able clean carpets well, but it cannot remove heavy soiling due to technology limitations.

Bonnet Cleaning

This process produces good Surface Cleaning results as it involves cleaning the top of the carpet fiber using a heavy-duty motorized machine. A spinning pad has been immersed into cleaning solution in order to remove dirt.

This method is used in many hotels to provide a quick solution to cleaning heavy-traffic areas that need carpeting to be dry and clean quickly.

Since bonneting only cleans the surface, it is easy for carpets to get dirty quickly. Bonneting tends to leave a chemical residue on carpets, as pressure exerted by heavy machines and spinning pads push the chemicals into carpets.

Dry Carpet Clean

Dry carpeting or compound cleaning has become a popular and widely used cleaning process. This is due to the effectiveness of this method and its ease as there is no need for drying. The market has seen many new types of cleaners since 1980. Because this technology has been around for a short time compared to conventional carpet cleaning techniques that have existed and were trusted over decades, some people are still skeptical about the cleaning power of this method.
